International Invitation Letter Request

Attendee Information: 

This page will give you step by step instructions on how to successfully submit a paper/panel proposal for the 37th Annual Southwest Popular/American Culture Association (SWPACA) annual conference.

International applicants seeking official Invitation letters for travel visa applications should first review our policies and procedures making sure all requirements are met before going forward.

Please follow the four steps below, in order to complete your conference registration.

Step One: Submit

Step One: Submit a Paper/Panel Proposal to the SW Presenter Database follow the directions to successfully submit a proposal to the appropriate subject area chair.
Presenter Database opens August 1, 2015. Final deadline for submissions is November 1, 2015

Step Two: Pay


Step TwoPay required conference registration fees.

All conference attendees, whether presenting or not, are expected to register for the conference. Please note, if you plan on presenting, you should register after you find out if your proposed presentation has been accepted.

Optional: Southwest Roommate Service

The SWPACA provides a roommate service for those individuals wanting to share conference hotel expenses. We cannot, of course, guarantee that people who advertises their desire to find a roommate will find a suitable roommate and we are not liable for problems that may arise. This page is meant only as a service to advertise your need for a roommate with others who need roommates.

The SWPACA does NOT become involved in room accommodations related to roommates; in other words, working out how roommates will pay for the rooms and who will room with whom is strictly up to the people involved. This list exists only as a convenience for attendees who want to find a roommate.

Use the online TripAdvisor to book your flight and ground transportation to the Hyatt Regency Conference Hotel. FYI for those new to our conference the estimated time from the ABQ Sunport Terminal to the Hyatt Regency is fifteen to twenty minutes by shuttle.
